The gentlest form of healing you will ever experience…
If you have been reading my blogs and articles, you are probably starting to get the sense that I have dabbled with numerous forms of healing. I was hell-bent on “fixing” myself because I thought that there was something wrong with me… After all, I wasn’t normal. I didn’t like sex; I didn’t trust people and I didn’t enjoy life even though everyone around me seemed to enjoy life and have it “easy”.
In this fixation of “fixing”, I came across flower essences and was blown away by their gentle power (if there is such a thing) and how they changed my emotional state.
Flower essences are a liquid concoction of the flower of a plant. When we ingest them, the essence or energy of the flower floods our system. If we are carrying negative emotions, these flowers have the power to dissolve these negative emotional states.
I used flower essences to feel safe and to trust in myself and oh man! these worked like a charm 🙂
In a funny kind of way, these essences are so gentle that when I did them, it didn’t feel like I was working hard on “fixing” myself. I didn’t feel that I had to confront my difficult emotions and somehow “get through”.
It all felt like a gentle loving as if I am being held and my negative emotional states were just dissolving themselves away by someone caressing my soul.
The other good thing is that you don’t necessarily have to go to a therapist to take this remedy. You can read and self-medicate (Yoo Hoo!!). The worst thing that can happen that it just won’t work. But of course, I will ask you to be self-responsible and reasonable in trying this form of healing.
Flower essences have been around for thousands of years in various cultures.one of the most respected names associated with their use in modern times is Dr. Edward Bach of England. He researched and trialled these from a scientific perspective and then presented his findings to the world. You can visit Dr. Bach Edward’s website to get more information and choose a flower that feels right to you.
“Healing with the clean, pure, beautiful agents of nature is surely the one method of all which appeals to most of us”
– Dr Edward Bach, 1936
In Dr. Bach’s system, there are 38 flower remedies and they are split into 12 Type Remedies (based on personality type), 7 Helpers (for conditions that have been build over time like hopelessness and despair), and then Secondary Healers (that relate to emotional responses to trauma).
Here is a really good short video describing these:
And here are some case studies of people who used them 🙂
In my flower essences experience, I used Australian bush flower essences and a combination of remedies with affirmations. Here is their website if you wanted to explore more.
Personally, I can’t believe that healing can be done in such a gentle and simple way even though I have done it. It is also possible that you use this in combination with going to a therapist or trying something else. I think these flowers don’t know anything else but to assist us.
If you try these, I would be realy curious to know how you went. Please post a comment or two and let me know 🙂
Blessings
